About Me
Prior to my election Galway City Council in 2009, my commitment to my community was evident through my involvement with innovative initiatives such as Sports Aid and Music Aid – (redistributing old and unused sporting and musical goods to schools and groups in the community) as co-founder and committee member of Space Invaders – using empty retail units to support artists in Galway and as founder of Green Nose Day in aid of people with disabilities. In recognition of my work I was awarded Junior Chamber Ireland Young person of the year award for volunteer/ humanitarian work and the Vodaphone Passion For the World award.
I consider myself a hard working, innovative, positive local representative who considers the opportunity to serve on Galway City Council as a great honour.
